We use some third party companies to maintain and operate our website and to enable some key aspects of the site (such as payment processing). These companies may receive personally identifiable information for this purpose, but only under strict conditions which guarantee your privacy and the security of your data. We may also share personal information when we are legally required to do so, but only when legally required to do so and only when no other option is available. Beyond that, how you interact with our site and how you do business with us are private information which will be kept purely within the organisation and its owners.
When you interact with a website, to store the state of an action, a small piece of data is stored on your hard drive (that’s better than it being stored on our servers since you control it and can delete it). When you revisit the site in the future, our server will ask your computer for the cookie so you can carry on as before, with all your settings and favourites restored. To enable advanced features and to make the shopping process possible, you need to have cookies enabled (we just can’t do it without some cookies). They aren’t as tasty as the cookies you dunk in your tea, but a bit more useful and less likely to put the pounds on!
We never store anything which is sensitive in a cookie – they are all in a secured part of our server with all sorts of encryption in place. Your name, your address, user account information and payment details will never be in a cookie. The cookie is what enables us to link you with your account so that you don’t need to log in all the time, and what enables features such as the shopping cart, the payment processing and the ordering process. In addition, if you use any social features of the site, cookies will be needed. We use no user identifiable data or user tracking in our site monitoring nor do we use any personal information for our marketing activities outside of our mailing list, which is follows standard double opt-in processes and can be cancelled upon request.
You can control your cookies in the privacy section of your browser preferences, which will let you delete cookies (all of them, or selectively) as well as to define which sorts of cookies you want to accept.
Because this site is an e-commerce site, we need to be sure that you’re old enough to use it. That means that we have built this site to be used by people aged 13 or older. Children under 13 are welcome to use the site to explore and read about these products, but to order or to have an account on this site, if you are under 13, you’ll need to ask a parent or guardian to register an account in their name. Unfortunately, if we do find that accounts are owned by children under 13, we will have to delete them and we will never seek to acquire or knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from a child under 13 years old. If you’re the parent of a child who has registered an account on this site, you can always email email@example.com to request the removal of that data.

Whenever we send you anything which is not directly related to an order under way, we have an Unsubscribe link which lets you tell us you don’t want to receive these sorts of emails. Click that and we will remove you from our mailing lists for those sorts of mails (though please note that since these emails can be handled by a third party mailing processor, it could take 3-5 days before we can remove you from all the lists).
